Dr. Reza Habib
Dr. Reza Habib joined University Core Curriculum (UCC) in July of 2017. He came to UCC from the SIU Department of Psychology. Habib graduated from the University of Toronto with his Ph.D. in Psychology in 2000. He served as a postdoctoral fellow at the Rotman Research Institute in Toronto upon graduation and until joining SIU Carbondale as an assistant professor in 2003. Dr. Habib 's research interests include brain imaging (fMRI) and statistical methodology, and long-term learning and memory. His varied administrative and curricular experiences as undergraduate program director in Psychology, the UCOL 101 Coordinator, and interim chair in Psychology, along with his service on many university committees and councils (including Graduate Council, CoLA Council, retention task force, and others) has prepared him well to face the many challenges presented in the UCC.
